The Object
A cactus that sits in a terracotta colour pot on your dining table. Looks like a plant. Functions like a flex. Push down on the top and toothpicks fan out from every slot like spines. Pull one, spear a piece of fruit, carry on. Release the cactus and everything tucks back in. The table stays clean, the conversation starts itself.
How It Works
A spring mechanism inside the cactus controls the toothpicks. Press down on the top to extend them outward. Pull what you need. Release, and the cactus retracts, holding the remaining toothpicks in place. Refill by pressing down, inserting toothpicks into the slots, and releasing.

Care
